How to take care of your clutch bags?
Different types of fabric and material needs to be taken
care of differently.
Suede Leather- Rub suede leather with a dry towel but do not
rub too vigorously as it can make the surface color to come off. If there are
stains like ink marks that you need to get rid of then dab a small quantity of
rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball. Gently rub the stained area and you’ll see
the mark slowly coming off. If at all there is a darker stain then you also put
white vinegar on it and rub it off. Also, avoid putting your leather clutch out
in the sun as it will cause cracks and make it fade.
Beaded- Take a solution of water and mild detergent. Immerse
the beaded clutch in it. The debris and the loose dirt particles that are
trapped beside the beads can come off. Then you can take a toothbrush with soft
bristles and clean in the direction of the beads.
Jute- To remove dirt from jute clutches, wipe it tenderly
and abrogate the stains. In the event that it gives out foul smell then
inundate it in cool water and gentle cleanser for nearly 3-4 minutes. Try not
to keep it plunged in water for long as it will bring about the fabric to
disentangle. Allow it to dry naturally. Also, keep it far from direct fire as
it is an ignitable item.
Satin- First clear out all the cardboard inserts that can
get damaged when immersed in water. Take a mild shampoo or detergent and
immerse it in water for roughly about 10 minutes or so. Then take a soft cloth
and rub it gently. Whenever you are cleaning your clutch, make sure that you do
not apply too much pressure on it and use mild detergent whenever possible.
